It is a "down home" restaurant with a pleasant atmosohere

Disappointing. The decor is early 70s cheap dark formica with harsh lighting and an insanely efficient ceiling air conditioning vent that chills everything in the direct path of the frigid air. "Down home cooking" in this case means big piles of unhealthy food. I've seen cleaner toilets in 3rd world countries. The wait staff is pleasant but pretty clueless.

I love to come to the range cafe! Love the atmosphere, the artwork, the food... And a big shout out to the wait staff. It's an awesome place off the beaten path! 💗😁

Inexpensive and always delicious. We love going to AR for a quick and delicious meal. The staff is always great and I enjoy the small town atmosphere.

Had huevos ranchos and coffee for breakfast. And that was good!

Breakfast burrito and chicken fried steak. Both pretty gross. The green Chile sauce was so watered down, I’m glad it was on the side. My refried beans looked like they had been sitting forever before they plated it. I had 2 bites of hashbrowns, because that’s all they gave me... worst breakfast I have ever had. Waitress was unfriendly.

Food was good. Nice wait staff. Only complaint I had were missing items when plate arrived and the weird smell. Over all it was a nice place with good food and portion of it too.

Have not ever had a unsatisfactory meal here and at a good price 😎

Food was okay for instant cooking. Upset the waitress demanded for a tip. It was my first time ever ordering, also pretty pricey. I like the menu. So I'm not saying it's not a bad place, they just need customer service training.

This place used to be good. Their quality has gone down hill in the last few years. The food that I received was barely warm. It wasn't even just this time. It seems like every other time I go there I receive lukewarm food, or some part of my order is messed up, like receiving beacon instead of ham, or red instead of green chili.

Rude owner and sub par service. Can't remark about the food because when asked for a coffee refills after sitting there for 30 minutes, we were told we were mean and asked to leave! Bush league operation.

We went there last night walked in and all the staff was standing or sitting by the counter. We go sit down, wait about 15 mins. Another family walks in sits down and is greeted right away and handed menus. We just look around we have not been greeted, no menus Nothing. We ended up walking out we were so mad and to think they were not that busy either. This isn’t the first time this has happened either. Pretty sure that was the last time we will be going to Aztec restaurant.

Typical old small town restaurant where locals awkwardly run into other locals. I’ve ordered the same thing here for 25 years - the mountain man skillet. It’s never changed.

Food was just ok. They were out of several menu items. Green beans were cold and out of a can. Chips and salsa exactly like you'd get at a gas station convenience store. Waitress never checked on us. She forgot our appetizer. Service was slow. Not impressed.

Had breakfast. It was fantastic. Friendly service.

Never order takeout from here. Got home, fries were still frozen piled on top of my sandwich. Lettuce on the club was brown and wilted. Ranch was not put in order. And "salsa" was practically a can of diced tomatoes and green chiles dumped into a container. Waste of money!

This restraint doesn't have any competition. Too bad it would have better customer service. Waited a long time before I came back will never return!!!

The food here is your standard American donet fare. Sometimes the kitchen is a little slow getting your order out. However, it has a great Hometown Diner vibe.

Friendly local diner. Hometown service and feel, even for travelers. A place with character where the locals make toy feel at home. And as long as you dropped by, they would be happy to stuff you full delicious traditional food and desserts!

Who ever is taking in calls needs to be retrained with better customer service skills. When people call a business line they OBVIOUSLY have questions, if you feel that I am wasting your time then maybe you're in the WRONG PLACE.

I ordered a Southwest sub, in less than 10 min my food was at my table. 😊 Quick service and tasty food

The coffee, toast and milk were good. The omelette was inedible. It was like thin FRIED egg covered in cheese with veggies in it. The waitress said that's how they make it. The waitress asked if I wanted something different. No. She took the omelette off the bill. Very nice of her. I hadn't been there in a long time, and I won't go there again.

Good food but the service was molasses slow. Two people walk into a restaurant and wait 15 minutes to order? Probably not but almost 40 minutes later the food arrived . So an hour in a restaurant and the food hit the table, mehh Warm at best. Would not recommend would not visit again .

I had the biscuits and sausage gravy with hash browns. It was excellent. I recommend this restaurant for visitors and locals alike.

It was delicious. I ordered the Aztec breakfast burrito. Yum!! And our waitress was attentive and responded to our needs before we asked.

Well I asked for lemon with my water and she offered me packets of lemon juice. Not a place for foodies. Very pedestrian. They have a salad bar with iceberg lettuce. Enough said.

I've eaten here twice - the first time I got massively sick. Gave it a few months - went back with some friends and one of them got massively sick. This seems like a steep price to pay for incredibly middle of the road food. There's a few other choice in Aztec and they are basically all better than Aztec Restaurant. I hate giving locally owned places bad reviews in a time where chains are destroying everything - but you can't keep making people sick and so far you've done that 100% of the time to me or friends/family.

Good quiet place to eat with the family. Normally busy on Sundays. Staff is polite. Beware of sitting in the back room, sometimes it takes them awhile to get to you.
